MCA Extends Deadline for Mandatory Dematerialization of Shares to June 30, 2025
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued a notification extending the deadline for the mandatory dematerialization of shares. Initially set for 30th September 2024, the new deadline is now 30th June 2025.
This extension provides companies that have not yet opted for dematerialization of shares an opportunity to comply with the regulations by 30th June 2025. Additionally, with this extension in place, companies can proceed with corporate actions such as the issue, transfer, or buyback of shares or debentures in physical mode until the new deadline.
